A night in the world to think together

The Night of Ideas offers the public to come and listen to thinkers from all walks of life (writers, politicians, journalists, artists, creators, entrepreneurs), at times that break with the ordinary academic symposium and in the excitement of a real party of thought (conference, theater, performance, screenings, concert).

Invitation open to all places of culture and knowledge in France and around the world, Night of Ideas is a format of innovative intellectual and trans-disciplinary exchanges that offers meetings under the sign of sharing, knowledge and reflection, between countries as between disciplines and generations, in unusual places.

In 2017, La Nuit des idées has been offered in nearly 100 cultural capitals around the world (London, Berlin, Brussels, Rabat, Prague, Buenos Aires). Over the time zones, the echoes of La Nuit des Idées echoed through social networks, making La Nuit des idées a global event.

For this 3rd edition, La Nuit des idées will be held in Belgium in 3 cities:
• Antwerp: Economic emergencies – Thinking inequalities at M HKA (contemporary art museum)
• Brussels: Ecological emergencies – Thinking the world at KANAL-Center Pompidou (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art)
• Liège: Political Emergencies – Thinking Borders at the Théâtre de Liège and Cité Miroir
