100 Czech: The Story of Czech Design is a new project which intends to display objects from the 1960s as well as the 21st century Czech avant-garde period. Taking over the neighborhood of Brussels, several objects such as vases, chairs and popular toys will be displayed on the windows of cafes, barber shops, restaurants as well as flower shops.

The event is a part of the official celebrations of the centennial of Czech Statehood in Brussels and as such provides the Belgian audience with the chance to learn more about Czech design.

Below you may find the map which provides all the venues displaying such items.

Bear with me, because The Story of Czech Design offers much more!

For those of you who love competitions, make sure to follow their Facebook page and take part in the competition for design objects.

If you’re intrigued by history and design, Ivan Knobloch -the design historian- will be offering free-guided tours around Belgium both in French (Saturday September 29, 16:00) and in English (Sunday September 30, 16:00).  The meeting point will be specified soon.

Meanwhile you may also check their website for more detailed information.
