The Balassi Institute, Cultural Service of the Embassy of Hungary in Brussels presents the concert of the Hungarian FolkEmbassy and Szilvia Bognár “From the hills of Csitár to the gardens of Körösfő”

The concert presents the “the folk roots” of the works of Kodály and Bartók: you shall experience the melodies of their collections of folk music. Encompassing the musical traditions of the Carpathian basin, the program brings to life the everyday life, the joys and sorrows of its people. The voice of the award winning folk singer Szilvia Bognár, folk-dance presentations and the performance of the VoxPat ensemble, a Brussels based Hungarian choir will make the evening one to remember.
