The military parade was taking place during the celebrations of the 188 years of independence. However, the Prince seemed not to be interested.

The Prince was seen spending time on his iPhone and later on even making a phone call. The royal family were seen to gesture at him, and Princess Claire, his wife even tapped him on the arm.

While the Belgian King and Queen were focussed on the military parade Prince Laurent was more interested in what was going on at his iPhone. His wife Princess Claire was not amused….

Eddy Merckx will be accompanied by his family and 1969 teammates. A delegation from Amaury Sport Organisation as well as the general managers of the 22 teams participating in the 2019 Tour de France will also be present.

The 106th edition of the Tour puts our country and in particular our capital in the spotlight for two days. This year’s edition not only pays tribute to the greatest cyclist of all time, but also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Yellow Jersey, of which Eddy Merckx remains to this day the record holder with the highest number of days (97) in yellow.
