Four great musicians with totally different roots and styles come together for a unique concert. Arianna Savall and Petter Udland Johansen, usual partners in the duo “Hirundo Maris”, walk between old music, contemporary, tunes of Catalonia and Ireland, Sephardic music.
Arianna, vocals and harp, is a well-known musician, composer and arranger, besides being the daughter of the famous musician Jordi Savall. She has found in Petter Udland Johansen, fiddle and vocals, the ideal partner to survey, in a contemporary way the insatiable landscapes of the songs of the North and the South.
This time they will be joined by Tristan Driessens and Murat Coşkun, who will take the quartet a little further east, sharing their knowledge of Middle Eastern music. Murat Coskun has a habit of reinventing the percussive styles of Turkey to make his traditional percussion sound more modern and inventive. Tristan Driessens completes this trio with the strings of his oud and his deep knowledge of the different musical cultures of Turkey (Seyir Trio, Lâmekân Ensemble, Refugees for Refugees).
An unusual musical encounter, unique and magnificent.
