More than 66,000 people came to Tour and Taxis to visit the BRAFA fair

The 64th edition of the BRAFA Antiques Fair, which ended on Sunday at Tour & Taxis in Brussels, recorded a new attendance record with more than 66,000 visitors, the organizers said. The sales figures were “very positive”, they added.

BRAFA hosts many foreign galleries this year. Numbering 84, these now represent 63% of the total number of exhibitors. And this is to be applauded, as it confirms both the stability of the national market, where the myth of the Belgian collector is clearly still seductive, and the increased international power of the fair, which grows with every edition! The diversity of styles and prices is certainly one of the reasons for the success of the fair, according to its organizers. For specialists, Brafa is one of the leading events in the sector in Europe, along with Maastricht and London.

This year’s theme was “Art Without Borders”. The next edition will take place from January 25th to February 2nd, 2020.
