As part of the 2019 Heritage Days, the House of European History is offering free guided tours of the artworks featured in the museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions.
The visitors will discover striking works of art by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Niki de Saint-Phalle and Käthe Kollwitz, who vividly captured certain realities, struggles, and troubled periods. Through these artworks, visitors will be able to explore social and political events and phenomena, and look at history through the eyes of artists that were politically conscious of their times.

Visitors are also invited to take part in the creation of a collective artwork and add to the appeal of the museum.
Non-stop: 10.00 – 17.00 on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September. No reservation necessary.

Hemicycle
The Hemicycle will hold special briefings on the role of culture in the European Union. The briefings will show how the European Union’s motto ‘United in diversity’ is put into practice with special briefings on the art collection of the European Parliament. You will also be able to see the Hemicycle, not normally open on weekends. No registration is needed.
The briefings on Saturday 14 September will be held between 10:00-17:00, every hour in Dutch, English, French and German.
