Created in 1986, the Namur International Francophone Film Festival is dedicated to the dissemination of Francophone cinema, working to promote cultural diversity. With an international reputation, it promotes the works of filmmakers who share the use or defense of the French culture. The goal is to highlight a living and dynamic Francophonie, strong in its multicultural wealth.

The FIFF proposes every year a hundred films – long and short films, fiction, animation, documentaries and clips – and awards the Bayards who reward the winners of the different competitions and come with distribution prizes. In addition to exploring cinematographic worlds, the Festival also organizes numerous workshops and meetings allowing professionals to come together and build the cinema francophone of tomorrow. The FIFF also contributes to the education of young people by offering activities and educational sessions for ages 3-25. In constant evolution, it is a cultural event that is unavoidable and expected, attracting both wide audience than a large number of professionals.

The 34th International Francophone Film Festival of Namur will be held from September 27 to October 4, 2019.
