The new European Commission needs a majority vote in the European Parliament to be installed. We call on members of the European Parliament to tell the Commission “no guarantees, no vote!” If the new Commission does not commit to the following 3 climate measures, they will not vote to approve it.
1. Not one penny more for fossil fuels: stop all fossil fuel investments and subsidies
2. Adopt the climate-finance pact: a climate bank providing 2% of GDP in zero interest loans + a climate budget of 100 bn € / year funded by a European tax on corporate profits
3. End the tax exemption on aviation fuel in Europe
There will be no new European Commission unless it is a Climate Commission!
