Giorgio Conte, one of the maîtres of the Italian song arrives in Brussels for the first show of his tour through Belgium, Luxembourg and France, accompanied by Peppe Voltarelli, another great Italian chansonnier.

About Giorgio Conte

The most famous younger brother of the Italian song is again on tour in Europe after the release of his latest album “Sconfinando”. His older brother is Paolo Conte, who enjoys great fame in Italy, France and around the world. Giorgio Conte shared with him the passion for French song and for jazz, playing together in a swing band in the first years of their careers. Giorgio chose at one point to devote himself entirely to music. After years of composing successful songs for other artists, he started to offer his own music on Italian, European and American stages. He has published 14 albums. Between 1995 and 2005, his presence, both in concert and with his records, was very constant and appreciated in France and Canada. Now, on the occasion of the release of his new album, Giorgio Conte comes back for a series of concerts in the French-speaking world, where he really feels at home.

About Peppe Voltarelli

Peppe Voltarelli (voice, guitar and accordion): Calabrian singer-songwriter, born in 1990 in Bologna, gives life to “Il Parto Delle Nuvole Pesanti” (The birth of heavy clouds), creative band of tarantella punk, with which he contributes to the renewal of music Italian rock in the ’90s. In 2005, he is the protagonist of the film “The Vera Leggenda of Tony Vilar” (The True Legend of Tony Vilar) a film by Giuseppe Gagliardi, where Peppe plays the role of the protagonist and for which he composes all the original music and soundtracks. The story tells his journey through the Italian community in Buenos Aires and New York (where the film was actually shot), looking for Tony Vilar, a singer of Italian origin (Calabria) very famous in Argentina during the ’60s who quickly disappeared from the scene.

In 2011 Peppe composed the soundtrack of the film “Tatanka” by Giuseppe Gagliardi, also released in France. The film is inspired by a story by Roberto Saviano, a story of social revenge through the sport and talent of Camorra. In 2012 Peppe carries on tour in Argentina, in the United States and in Europe his show: “Il Viaggio, i Padri e l’Appartenenza” (“The Journey” around the world, “the Fathers” inspiring his art and “l ‘Belonging’ to his homeland, Calabria), which are the three main aspects, the three ‘images’ of life, which inspire his music.
