Wonderful country folk slendour à la Joni Mitchell!
The 26-year-old Courtney Marie Andrews is a young singer-songwriter from Phoenix. She’s been writing music since she was 14, which eventually led to her debut album ‘Urban Myths’ in 2008. Since then, things have only gotten better career-wise: four wonderful albums, rock solid shows and supports (for Damien Jurado, amongst others).
The American turns out splendid country folk songs on her sixth album ‘Honest Life’ (2016, Loose Music), raw and sometimes slightly Americana. And no, that comparison with Joni Mitchell is not misplaced.
