Photographer and bookseller, he first trained in graphic arts in Brussels and parallel to the Academy of Arts of Uccle in Drawing.
His recent discovery of jazz is a revelation: it inspires him to draw with passion some mythical musicians of the ’50s and’ 60s, such as Miles DAVIS, Bill EVANS, Thelonious MONK, John COLTRANE, Art BLAKEY
Moments chosen from period films, these pastel and charcoal drawings are stops on images where often the musicians do not play. His preference goes to those hollow moments, so numerous in the artists’ lives. These suspended moments almost become the silences of an imaginary score.
