With the UK’s General Election taking place on the 8 June The UK in a Changing Europe is holding a media briefing to discuss how it will affect Brexit on.

Speakers

  • Professor Anand Menon, director The UK in a Changing Europe, will discuss the politics of Brexit in the UK, looking at the political parties, and how the outcome might affect the negotiations
  • Professor Catherine Barnard, senior fellow at The UK in a Changing Europe, will present the legal aspects of World Trade Organisation rules, legalities over the Great Repeal Bill and regulatory challenges from Brexit
  • Professor Jonathan Portes, senior fellow at The UK in a Changing Europe will assess the status of EU nationals in the UK, UK nationals in the EU and whether labour mobility will be part of the talks on the future UK-EU relationship

Details: The press briefing will comprise an introduction by Anand Menon and short presentations from all the speakers. There will be time available for questions and answers. A continental breakfast will be served from 8am.
