Ma. Rhina Paula Palma-Cruz, soprano
Mikko Pablo, cellist
Michael Lao Cu, pianist
The Nightingales is an impressive, and powerful duo featuring two of the youngest, yet most formidable classical singers in the Philippines today. They bring the magic of opera to the fore, with a rare blend of musicality, and perform a wide-range repertoire consisting of opera arias, Broadway classics, and even popular standards, all in a unique style of singing – bel canto or beautiful voice.
Mikko Pablo is a young and outstanding cellist who has trained and performed across three continents – Asia, America and Europe. Having finished his undergraduate studies at the California State University Fullterton, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. Together with Belgium-based Filipino-Chinese pianist Michael Lao Cu, they will be performing well-loved compositions for Cello and Piano.
