Who will have the last word: mankind or nature?✊

For its 17th edition on Saturday 5 October, NUIT BLANCHE goes green 🌱 at Tour & Taxis, from 19h to 3h in the morning, a site that symbolizes Brussels’ Industrial Boom and that is adjacent to one of the city’s largest green spaces.

At the time of the Anthropocene – a term describing the geological period characterized by the global impact of human activities on the evolution of the terrestrial ecosystem – natural disasters and climatic disturbances constantly remind us that nature will always have the last word.

And yet, if man seems helpless in the face of the unleashing of the elements, it is urgent to act and reconnect with nature, as part of a reflection and a sustainable approach.

The 2019 edition of NUIT BLANCHE intends to question the impact of the Anthropocene on our planet, the importance of taking into account the environment and the role of the artist in the awareness of climate issues.

How to rethink our way of inhabiting the world, our relationship to the ecosystem, facing a galloping urbanization and globalization?
