SPRING is out there and it is time for some passion and emotion! AKOSIA provides you with a very special dance and cultural event this week:
SPANISH SOIRÉE in the heart of Brussels, Thursday, 4th April 2019, 19-23hrs
They want to revive for one night those famous times of the 60s and 70s when many Spanish migrants came to Brussels and this city contained almost as many Flamenco Bars as Sevilla (yes, it is true!)
On the programme:
– a Flamenco workshop with Antonio Martinez (one of the most famous Flamenco dancers and teachers in Belgium and in Spain)
– a debate about the Spanish migration to Brussels in the 60s and 70s of last century with a special insight into Antonio’s childhood, coming from a migrant family
– a get-together with Spanish Wine, Tapas and more music in the cultural Centre of the province of Aragon here in Brussels.
Transport between the two venues (Antonios Studio in St. Gilles for the dance workshop and debate and later centre of Aragon close to Ambiorix) will be provided.
