The European Union speaks your language – Exhibition in partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee
The exhibition goes back to the year 1958, date of the first legal act of the EEC / EU, to emphasize the historical importance.
Regulation 1/1958 has played a fundamental role in the construction of Europe, as it enables work to be carried out in each of the languages of the Member States, thus strengthening the participation of civil society as well as the democratic legitimacy of the European Union.
The exhibition “The EU speaks your language” was created and produced by the European Economic and Social Committee in September 2018, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the entry into force of Regulation 1/1958. It was conceived as a traveling exhibition, a tribute to a multilingual Europe. The Alliance Française Brussels-Europe is the fourth step.
