The office of research and juridical processing in Schaerbeek has doubled its agents, from 4 to 8. The plan is to expose perpetrators of the law, those who dispose their garbage cans at an inappropriate time or place. Such non-compliance will be faced with a 180 euro fine per bag and 455 euro fine per cubic meter.

In total, approximately 19 tons of waste are collected daily in this municipality.

Throughout 2018, they reported that 78,000 interventions took place in the area.

Romain started his career in hospitality by working at Delirium café. Then he discovered cocktails and mixology at Green Lab. Self-taught man, he is spending a lot of time to read and discover new recipes and to make experiments.

« To me a cocktail has to be simple to be efficient. Balance between acidity and bitterness is a capital point to get a good result. »

La Capitale reports, « Against a backdrop of jazz music, vintage wallpaper, decorative objects and soft light give the place a warm atmosphere. Without being secretive, this new address that has been known so far only by word of mouth is also reminiscent of the famous speakeasy New York, these underground bars very popular during the prohibition.« 

The bar is open from Tuesday to Thursday starting from 18:00 to 01:00 and Fridays until 03:00.

Now it welcomes the temporary LEGO exhibition, which offers a fresh look at the development of railways, in a venue that puts the spotlight on its past and its future with a decor created especially for the event.

What’s more, SNCB has given one of its trains a brand new look. This train will travel throughout the Belgian network from early October.

After joining the world of Tintin in 2016, the Train World museum is now welcoming LEGO into its exhibition space. The Danish giant has certainly managed to ride the tide of electric trains and scale models. The permanent exhibition will include unique LEGO models of locomotives.

For the the next months the exhibition will be full of exciting discoveries and fun activities for the whole family — 7 unique and specially designed scale model trains, LEGO scale model trains in a genuine miniature railway landscape, constructing a LEGO puzzle, a dedicated space to challenge your skills with LEGO bricks, the pop-up shop for genuine train– and LEGO enthusiasts to stroll around and pick up a nice souvenir at the end of your visit at a photo booth.

The visitors have the chance to participate in the monthly contest to win one of the 50 Lego boxes and create their own LEGO world. Special activities include game halls filled with the famous colourful little bricks on Wednesdays, weekends and school holidays.

The goal was to exchange information quickly, as well as to be better acquainted with one another. The Whatsapp group is now composed of a handful of families, between six and seven.

17 of them were housed in a center set up by the Commune of Schaerbeek and were able to return home this Tuesday noon, but the inhabitants of n° 123 rue du Brabant are still waiting. The Brussels public prosecutor’s office opened an inquiry following the fire, but also two others which took place at about the same time in Anderlecht and Ixelles. No injuries were reported as a result of these fires. The causes of the Anderlecht and Schaerbeek fires are not known at the moment.
