On Thursday parks in Brussels closed off due to yellow alert
The parks and cemeteries managed by the City of Brussels, as well as the parks managed by Brussels-Environment will be closed to the public on Thursday, from noon onward due to the risk of rain and strong winds.
The possibility of reopening parks and cemeteries will be re-examined again on Friday morning by the authorities.
The decision whether to close off the road that crosses the Bois de la Cambre will be announced by the police, reported the City of Brussels.
The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) announced that a strong rainstorm will cross Belgium on Thursday coming from the south. It will give rise to heavy rains and intense thunderstorms in certain places. Hail might fall intermittently as well.
The RMI announced again the possibility of winds of more than 90 km/h.
