Following a campaign launch in February, the #1bru1vote movement entered a new phase of outreach towards Brussels citizens and elected officials, and beginning on March, 19 local groups were launched in each of the 19 Brussels communes, coming forward with citizens’ queries.
The first meeting took place in Etterbeek followed by St-‐Gilles and has since received praise from public figures. Two Mayors from regions of Brussels – Vincent De Wolf and Charles Picqué – have expressed their support to the movement as well as many other local officials.
Other citizens’ queries will be organized in more Brussels communes in May and June. And a petition to be heard before the Brussels‐Capital parliament is in preparation.
