1953. Laurel and Hardy, the greatest comic duo of all time, are setting off on a tour of England. They are not as young as they once were and, forgotten by younger audiences, they struggle to sell tickets. But their abilities to make each other laugh and reinvent themselves will mean they win back fans and come back on top. Even if the ghost of the past and the new challenges shake the solidity of their pairing, this tour is the unique opportunity to realise how much they mean to one another, in human terms.

Jon S. Baird has worked with producers including: Martin Scorsese, Danny Boyle, Jim Carrey, Mick Jagger. Baird began his career as a runner at the BBC and quickly progressed through the ranks to become one of Britain’s brightest up and coming directorial talents. Baird’s directorial debut feature, which he also wrote and produced, was the highly acclaimed ‘Cass’ (2008), a true story about a Jamaican orphan whose violent struggle for identity saw him going from public enemy number one to successful book publisher. His second feature “Filth”, starred James McAvoy, won numerous awards at several international film festivals. In 2014, he directed the television drama “Babylon” and, in 2015, an episode of the Martin Scorsese produced HBO show “Vinyl”.
