Workshop: Listen Up: Improve Your Listening Skills to Become a Better Boss, Employee and Partner
By Todd Buell
Brussels: 12 June 2019
Todd has worked as a teacher and journalist in Europe for the last fifteen years. Especially in recent years, he has become aware of his own (and sometimes others’) failures to listen. How often do we simply want to say something or make a point without considering the opinions of others? Do we see this in society today? These thoughts prompted him to design a workshop where participants think about and practice the art and gift of listening.
In this workshop, you’ll learn…
– exercises to improve listening and comprehension.
– skills to sharpen focus.
– what are the “enemies of listening” and how to fight them?
– why listening is more important now than ever before.
Todd believes that you will leave this workshop more aware of how not to miss details in communication with your partner, friends, children or colleagues. If you are a better listener, then you can be a more empathetic and aware citizen of the universe.
About Todd Buell
After growing up in Maine in the United States, Todd has lived in Europe for most of the last 15 years. He is a financial journalist during the day and sometimes, at nights and on weekends, he is a panel moderator and conference chair. His work in these areas in recent years has motivated him to design a workshop on panel moderation, but over time he realized that this topic is too focused to have a broad appeal. As we all need to listen, he’s turned the focus of the workshop in the direction of listening skills.
