The Rootsriders will perfume for the first time in Brussels.

This tour the band performs not only songs of the King of Reggae but also includes songs by his offspring (notably Ziggy, Damian and Stephen and of course the Melody Makers) in their repertoire. Quoted by the BBC as Europe’s best Marley tribute !

In their home territory of the Netherlands Rootsriders are well known for their spirited and fun-filled live shows honouring life and music of the King of Reggae. Their annual Tribute2BobMarley Tour draw big crowds to all the venues, wherever they perform.

Marley fanatics and Marley-curious people enjoying the performances side by side. Over the course of this project the band hosted (and performed with) many well-known and established artists like The Wailers, Maxi Priest, just to name 2 and achieved critical acclaim even outside the Reggae scene. Whether they are the tropical surprise at a Rock festival or perform as headliner at a Dutch Reggae fest, the enthusiastic crowd reaction is similar.

Since the beginning in 2006, when the band headlined the now legendary commemoration concert that marked the 25th anniversary of Marley’s passing in 1981, the band has done over 600 shows, from NYC to Istanbul & from Curacao to Johannesburg. One of Rootsriders vocalists, Mitchell Brunings, gained worldwide attention in 2013 with his blind audition in the popular Dutch tv show ‘The Voice Of Holland‘, singing – of course – an intense Marley cover that was quickly picked up all over the globe, resulting in over 60 million views on YouTube alone. He reached the show’s finals finishing as the runner-up of the entire competition. After embarking on a sold-out tour with Rootsriders again in 2014 after his The Voice adventure he was hand-picked to play the lead role of the official Bob Marley musical ‘Marley’ which premiered May 14 2015 in the United States and moved to the UK this year.

With him Rootsriders lost a great vocalist, although he was never their only lead vocalist because they work with 2-3 vocalists every tour. Needless to say the band is very proud of his current achievements. With 2 other well know Dutch stars previously in their ranks the band has proven to be a great platform for (young) talents.
