WHAT?
Malian ‘sono mondiale‘ alias ‘global dance‘ pioneers. The blind couple plays super sensual, danceable ‘afro‘. The worldwide breakthrough came in 2005 (first-time full AB too) with the CD ‘Dimanche à Bamako.’ That CD was produced by Manu Chao and collaborations with Damon Albarn, Santigold, TV On The Radio, Bertrand Cantat… followed. We’re expecting new material on the Because label this summer, that could sound like the legends Francis Bebey, William Oneyeabor, Ali Farka Touré…!?
