Espace Wallonie, located just around the corner from the Grand-Place in Brussels, will unveil a unique exhibition this Thursday to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic ‘yellow jersey’ (le maillot jaune), 101 days from the start of the next Tour de France in Brussels.

The exhibition will pay tribute to the 15,059 cyclists who have taken part in the Tour, with special attention given to the 3,228 of them who have worn the famous yellow jersey. It also celebrates the life of Eddy Merckx – the ‘Belgian sportsman of the century’ – who won five Tours de France and wore the yellow jersey for a total of 111 days.

The exhibition will be open to the general public until July 14th.
