The Hungarian band from Transylvania, Funk You! is formed by Ákos Bogáti-Bokor and Stephanie Semeniuc. The band came to life in 2018 with the goal to play on a street music festival, to use the first prize to finance the 3rd album of the symphonic progressive rock band Yesterdays.

After winning two festivals (Satu Mare StreetMusic Festival Romania and Veszprém Streetmusic Festival Hungary) and due to their success they decided to go on with the project and to form a new band, to play more and to record a mini album. Their strength is that they love what they do.

Each time they present a very dynamic show (be it on streets or on stages in clubs and festivals), a two piece band covering lots of positive vibes and frequencies. The basic aim is to play “unknown” music, so the audience’s attention won’t be grabbed by the well-known hits, but by the quality music and the vibrant mood of the duo. Their original songs were written in this manner, following this ars poetica.

The dynamic duo is a perfect match, covering all the roles of a regular full band. Stephanie sings and plays percussion, Ákos plays guitar, sings backing vocals, uses beatboxing techniques, guitar loops, strange effects, so his guitar sounds like a guitar and a bass guitar in the same time.

They bring smiles and grooves to every event, quality funk and dynamic interactive stage presence is guaranteed.
