Trailer FLU #HumanTraffic 2019

Program:

MARCH 23:    THEATER   “Hymn to Imperfection” by Maky and Manuel Antonio Pereira

Performance of the show “Hymn to imperfection” that we co-produced last year with the Varia Theater.

Mathieu d’Angelo  – alias  Maky  – known in the world of urban music, stands out from rap and slam to devote himself fully to improvisation, an area where he excels and where he literally becomes a virtuoso. The speech is twisted in him, raw, spontaneous, instinctive. It’s his engine, his ally. It’s his life and it’s the story of his life.

The show staged by  Manuel Antonio Pereira  is a game of balance between written parts and improvised parts, between speech and music. The latter plays a vital role in the show. It enters into symbiosis with the text, echoes it, produces effects of rupture or support. It is provided by  Fabot , present on stage. This music lover, who is also an illustrator, mixes into a true sound designer.

MARCH 27:   DANCE & SLAM

Two house productions; Again: Through the other the new choreography of Mybalés plus and the show Congo Eza, mixing theater, rap and slam (Lisette Lombé, Joelle Sambi, Badi – Directed by Rosa Gasquet) presented as part of the festival.

“Through the other” of Les Mybalés & Congo Eza

Dance: The two dancers of the duo Les Mybalés are linked by a common history and a deep complicity thanks to their relationship of twins. These two dancers transcend the house, afro and hip-hop dances that inspired them to create a gesture specific to their characters. From these movements come a naive and touching poetry. The emotions that go through them nourish their dance and can create moments of intense power and also of a certain violence.

In the continuity of their first Illusion show , Les Mybalés explore the different symbols of the twinship of one culture to another. They question the twins about their feelings, their way of life and their identity construction.
