He earned his chops in India, made a name for himself in London by teaming up with Shabaka Hutchings (Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming), Cara Stacey (Kit Records) and clarinet player Arun Ghosh. He even played for the Dalai Lama last year. Who are we talking about? The percussionist and producer Korwar Sarathy! His music mixes his passion for the tabla with influences from jazz and electronic music, and come up with a formula that was so successful it earned him the highlight label of the SXSW Festival and the ReWire Festival in the Hague.
