Disruptive & innovative Swapfiets bike system arrives in Brussels

The Dutch bike rental system “Swapfiets” will make its awaited appearance in the capital. After four months, this system already has 1,500 customers in Belgium. The concept currently exists in the Netherlands and Flanders, Leuven, Antwerp and Ghent.

“We find that customers are satisfied and that word-of-mouth is working well,” said Steven Uitentuis to Het Laatste Nieuws.

For a subscription of 17.50 euros per month – 15 for students – users of the service get a bike, insurance against theft, padlock and lighting. In case of breakdown or puncture, a repairman comes to the house within twelve hours.
