EBN innovation network: the impact report

EBN is a network born in the 1980’s that supports the development and growth of innovative entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, supporting over 82,000 clients over the last three years period. It gathers a community of professionals whose day-to-day work helps these businesses to grow in the most effective, efficient and sustainable way.

Each year, the EU|BICs provide EBN with information, data and success stories on the objectives and goals obtained. For instance, the conference that took place today at the Press Club offered the opportunity of analyzing the results of a three years trend in the innovation ecosystem: the Impact Report.

The panel discussion explained all the insights of the innovation ecosystems in Europe, and through the analysis of the past three year, it showed how entrepreneurship could be improved in the future. The three-year time span showed that, after completing the EU|BIC support programmes, the survival rate of the companies is at 87%. The results also show that EU|BICs have fulfilled their inherent public mission by fostering entrepreneurship and innovation values at the local and regional level.

Javier Echarri, Chief Executive Officer at EBN welcomed the launch of this report stating that: “The professional support that we are providing demonstrates that the EU|BIC model is highly effective at scaling-up Europe’s innovative small businesses, and that is possible thanks to a certification process and a strict quality criteria.”

The EBN network is a growing player within the European innovation ecosystem, with a clear understanding of how to scale up the potentialities of Europe’s startups and SMEs. The company has a significant impact on the local level and it contributes to developing companies and making them more sustainable.
