Meet the European Capitals Mayors – 7th Summit EU Capitals Mayors and EU Commission
On the 24th and 25th of September 2018, the City of Brussels will be hosting the 7th edition of the Direct Dialogue between Capitals Mayors and the European Commission. On this occasion, the Mayors (or a Deputy-Mayor) of the 28 European capital cities will gather to discuss their views on European policies with the European Commission and exchange on the following themes:
- The need for more public investments in Europe
- The future of the European Cohesion policy and the ongoing discussions on the next Multi-annual Financial Framework (MFF) for 2021-2027
- A state of play on the Urban agenda of the EU
A Common declaration of the Mayors is being prepared in view of those discussions and will be communicated during the Press Conference in the presence of the Mayors and the European Commissioner Corina Creţu and Vice-President Jyrki Katainen, the Presidents of the Committee of the Regions, Eurocities and the CEMR.

From 12h45 to 13h15 a press conference + Q&A with a select group of mayors and Commissioner Corina Creţu
From 13h15 to 14h00 all Mayors and Deputy-Mayors are present and available for bilateral interviews
