Meet the new tram line in Brussels: Tram 8

Tram 94 turns into tram 8 with Roodebeek as the end stop

Tram line 8, has just started operating and it features a new 2km stretch from Roodebeek metro station in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert to the Tram Museum in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre.

The route of bus 42 has also been shortened by 4 stops with Roodebeek as terminus. While, the new tram line has been extended by 4 stops until Roodebeek.

 

The tram operates on a dedicated route on the new section and offers an improved connection with the metro as well as a better service for both Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. The 4 new stops of tram 8 are Parc des Sources/Bronnenpark, Voot, Woluwe Shopping and Roodebeek.

 

 

The travelling time for this new section is 6 to 7 minutes during daytime. Coming from Woluwe, it will only take you about 20 minutes to go to the place Wiener/Wienerplein district.
