Street artists called to decorate metro stations in Brussels

Brussels Mobility is looking for street artists to decorate the pre-metro spaces.

The idea is to bring colors to the public transport network by decorating the tranches of the metros, the openings in the ground and the ramps that allow the trams to circulate between the surface and the ground.

The Brussels Region and the STIB have invited street artists to propose project ideas to decorate these metro spaces. The objective is to enhance these “lost” spaces and to integrate these stations into the urban environment.

The projects are expected to be carried out in autumn 2019, starting with the Gare du Midi and Lemonnier.

Proposals will be accepted until August 15th. Find the call for proposals in here.
