SNCB is launching a 5 Euro Green Ticket to travel within Belgium during this weekend as a means of ecological transport. This comes on the occasion of the opening of the 24th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP24) as well as the Brussels Climate March. Up to 25,000 people are expected to show up for the Climate March on Sunday.
Green tickets can be purchased online on their website, at sales machines and on the counters, starting from Friday to Sunday inclusive.
Similarly, STIB has announced free transportation throughout the whole day on Sunday.
SNCB has stated, “Every day, SNCB contributes to reducing CO2 emissions in the movements of Belgians who choose to take the train as a means of transport.”
