Up to 1,500 EUR in exchange for giving up your car in Woluwe Saint Lambert

The municipality of Woluwe Saint-Lambert is trying to promote less polluting modes of transport. They have come up with an interesting exchange.

If you are willing to give up your car you can get a bonus of 1,500 euros.

Starting from July 1, inhabitants of Woluwe Saint-Lambert could give up their license plate in order to get the bonus. The bonus is spread out over five years, upon fulfillment of certain conditions. Most importantly you can only benefit if you remain a resident of the municipality for at least five years.

Moreover, you get an extra bonus of 50 euros each year if you actually destroy your car instead of re-selling it.
