Works for the extension of tram line 9 begin on Monday, February 18th, in the northern part of Brussels, reported Belgian news outlet, RTBF.
The tram line will be equipped with four new stops finally reaching the King Baudouin metro station.
Inaugurated a few months ago, line 9 attracts many thousands of users every day.
The initial phase of the extension will begin with preparatory works that should not have an impact on traffic.
Heavier work will begin in July. The extension is expected to be finished by the end of 2021
