Brussels Airport brings in spring and treats passengers to chocolate eggs in the Easter holidays
In two weeks’ time, the Brussels Airport will receive more than 1.3 million passengers, 5% more than last year. To help passengers get into the holiday mood, the airport will be handing out Easter eggs and opens a spring terrace in front of the departure hall as well as a playground in Connector.
The Easter holidays do not only attract a large number of passengers to the airport; they also bring in spring. From the end of March, passengers can enjoy the Belgian sun on the colourful outside terrace next to the departure hall. Those who prefer to remain inside can join in the hunt for the golden Easter egg. Children big and small who find the Easter Bunny will be given a delicious Easter egg.
During the holidays, Brussels Airport will be paying extra attention to families leaving for their holidays. During Easter, the airport will be opening 2 separate lanes for young families at the security screening; it is something the airport has done successfully in the past. These family lanes are specially decorated as spring gardens and the youngest passengers can expect a small surprise to play with. Thanks to these separate lanes, the security check is more pleasant and less hectic for families and they speed things up for all the other passengers.
Come to Brussels Airport well prepared
During the Easter holidays and also in the weeks following, it is extremely busy at the airport. The two busiest days at the airport during the Easter holidays are Friday 30 March and Tuesday 6 April, when around 80,000 passengers are expected on each day.
