Hospitality Brussels: Where people meet

Ramadan is a time of meeting people, festivities, charitable donations, open doors, sharing, and inner reflection. Hospitality Brussels takes advantage of the Ramadan period and its unique atmosphere to bring people together around the common values of solidarity and hospitality.

Hospitality Brussels will begin with the Hospitality Festival on May 3 and 4, 2019. For this occasion the Place de la Monnaie will be transformed into a festive and cultural market, inspired by the Jemaa el-Fnaa square in Marrakech. For centuries, markets have been a meeting place for various communities. Here, families, residents, merchants, artists will all come together. At this market, music, performances, acrobatics, workshops, and culinary specialties will surprise you for two whole days.

During all of Ramadan, you can participate at an iftar anywhere in Brussels. Iftar is the meal after sundown that Muslims take every day to break the fast. The festive event with which Muslims break the fast is different everywhere. But they all have one thing in common: the hospitality that makes everyone feel welcome.

To conclude the Hospitality Brussels in style, one final celebration will take place in the tradition of Eid al-Fitr on June 8th. It will be an evening of music  with appetizers and entertainment.
