From South Africa to Borgerhout via Brussel!

STEFAN DIXON is that South African singer-songwriter talent with a homebase in Brussels and now a remarkable duet with Klaas – Yevgueni – Delrue on the radio: ‘Vir nou, voor nu’. He does his thing solo, duo or trio. English is no problem at all, Dutch is also a possibility, but pay special attention to his songs in our distantly related cousin-language Afrikaans (by ‘Moltrein’, metro station Park…)

PIETER EMBRECHTS finally pops down from his hometown Antwerp again. Borgerhout actually, for which he recently made a plea in the media and in that song: that ‘Hier In Borgerhout’ Tom Waits-cover of course. But there is so much more stunning stuff too: ‘Zomernachten’ (are you thinking Feeërieën now too?), ‘Dansen In Het Donker’ (same again?)…  A very splendid musical vein tapped into by a pedigree performer that we’ve relished here since De Kakkewieten (and its countless familiar attendants).
