Enjoy French-speaking movies!

Although the cultural life is definitely intense in Brussels, it’s sometimes worth escaping the Belgian capital to attend other events in other cities. Luckily, if you have not been to Namur yet and you have an acceptable level of French skills, the Walloon capital is currently hosting the International Festival of French-speaking movie (Festival International du Film Francophone). This festival, which has been set up in 1986, aims at supporting and spreading short-movies and long-length features as well as the documentaries in French.

This major event with regard to French-speaking cinema put together different stakeholders. Actors, producers and directors often meet there and giving an insight into their work, thanks to workshops and conferences, which allow the visitors to know more about the French-speaking culture.

Even if the festival started last weekend, you still have plenty of things to do there. Movies and contest will take place until Friday night. You also can attend one of the closing galas on Friday night, which will start at 9.30 pm.
