Ancienne Belgique in Brussels is organizing a cycle called the Sound of Protests, which commemorates the 50th anniversary of May ‘18, a period characterized by the turbulent student revolts took place in Paris and other parts of the world.
In August the guest of honor is Patti Smith. She’s not only an American rock icon, but also a magnificent writer who received the National Book Award for her memoir Just Kids. She’s also a champion of environmental protection, an activist of climate change policy making. Not to miss.
