A pop-up plant sale (PUP – Plantes Uniques & Palpitantes / Plezante & Uitzonderlijke Planten / Pleasant & Unusual Plants) will be held in Brussels from 15.08 until 18.08. The PUP is a social, plant-selling event where people can meet each other and get introduced to young, Belgian ‘green’ entrepreneurs in a unique environment (SEE U @ Ixelles).
After previous successes in Ghent, Kortrijk & Ronse – which over 6,000 plant lovers attended – the PUP will now be held in Brussels. It is aimed primarily for youngsters and (young) families to promote more greenery at home.
During all previous events the number of plants sold generated 73,797 m3 of clean air! Moreover, more than 65% of the plants sold at PUPs are from Belgian growers – this is done in order to promote the Belgian plant industry.
Ultimately, the goal of the PUP is to visit every city in Belgium; at the end of the PUP’s tour it will give its verdict on the Belgian city with the cleanest air.
