Winter 2018.  In the heart of Brussels and Europe, the Rond-point Schuman and rue de la LOI  will become a  magical space.  An elegant marquee, beautifully illuminated, will be built on the Rond-point, which will become the Place to Be  in Brussels.  

A series of themed events and cultural activities will be organised on the exceptional space redecorated   to showcase  Christmas parties,  culture, music, food,  drinks along with  many more surprises.  Widely open to the public, all visitors will be welcomed to check out the European Quarter. 

From 29.11.2018 to 2.1.2019, Presentation of a surprising  Exhibition offered by Visit.Brussels . “EUROPEANESS. Am I a European?”  60 artists from across the EU. 60 answers”. 

• Thursday November 29: “Grand Opening” of « Rond-point Schuman Lights Up » offered by  the City of Brussels and the Office of the Scottish Government in Brussels.  “ CEILIDH to celebrate the St Andrew’s Day (“fairness and inclusivity”)  Live Music, Dance and Food (17.30  h> 22.00 h).   

• Saturday 1 December:  BLITZ CHESS Tournament on Schuman roundabout organized by the Brussels Chess Club  (free registration on site) (14.00 h > 17. 00 h). 

• Monday 3 December :  “INsPIrE and ENGAGE” (IHECS) : presentation of the project and closing session (ERASMUS +) . Food and drinks will be offered (16.00 > 17.30). Followed by an introduction to   the new Africa-Europe Alliance organised with the European Commission –  DG for International Cooperation and Development after which you will be carried away by KIZOMBALOVE Academy: African dance, coaching, music and food  (18.00 h > 23.00 h ). 

• Tuesday December 4,  Evening offered by the European Jewish Community Center. Chanukah Lighting – Songs,  Dance and Food – Live concert with David Hababou ( 17.30 h > 21.30 h)

• Wednesday 5 December , chefs and artisans from the neighborhood will showcase their know how,  prepare their best recipes, their most beautiful products. Musical entertainment offered by the European Investment Bank (EIB) “The sound of Home” in collaboration with KlaraFestival  (17.30 h > 22.00 h)

• Thursday December 6, Permanent Representations, Embassies, EU Regions and tourist offices will generously host and offer  a tour of Europe’s amazing range of specialities and seasonal delicacies (17.30  h  > 22.00 h ).

• Friday December 7:  dancing party with  “YouDanse  Studio”  an introduction to  SALSA. Food and Drinks in cooperation with Guinguette Maurice (18.00 > 23.00 h)
  
• Saturday December 8: come to the ball and be carried away by Swing, Lindy Hop.  Professional coaching,  Food and Drings by Guinguette Maurice (18.00 > 23.00 h)
