App lets you legally park infront of someone’s garage

No place to park? just put your car in front of a stranger’s garage. That’s all thanks to a new app launching next month which could make parking in Brussels a lot easier.

Brussels-based start-up Pasha uses a platform that allows residents to charge an hourly fee for a driver to block the entrance of their garage when it isn’t in use.

Users with space available register their address, the hours when the space can be used and their bank details for receiving payments. A digital display is mailed and they attach it to their garage door. When a driver books the parking space, their car registration number appears on the screen.

Rates range from €0.50 to €1.20 per hour depending on location, and the application and website will be available from 15 August with a potential 500 garage spaces available from day one.
