Rodrigo Amaral was born and raised in Porto until he moved to Lisbon to study Political Science and International Relations at NOVA University. With an active intervention in political issues through pole positions in students associations, representative at international youth meetings and conferences or as a volunteer in several projects, Rodrigo Amaral is a convinced defender of the potential of his region - Porto and the North of Portugal, his country and the European project. He is currently a Master’s student of Development and International Cooperation at ISEG - Lisbon School of Economics and Management, where he studies with attention the main challenges for the future of the Official Development Aid, South-South Cooperation and models of international cooperation. Currently he is working in Public Defence Sector entity in Portugal and at the moment he is the Young Local Ambassador of Porto, North of Portugal region, as part of the Federation of Regional Growth Actors in Europe’s – FEDRA.
