Bicycle thefts explode in Brussels

According to the Dernière Heure, between 2014 and 2018, there has been a 31% increase in bicycle theft in the capital.

Last year the police accounted for 3,719 complaints in total,  against 2,515 in 2013. This means an increase of 50% in almost six years. It must also be said that the number of cyclists has increased. The police recall that several protection systems exist in addition to traditional padlocks. Insurance can also be a solution.
