Closing gala of the China Arts Festival at KVS in Brussels

The China Arts Festival in the EU is an innovative initiative aimed to develop and strengthen the relationship between China and the EU through cultural-oriented events. Since its first edition in 2015, the festival has organised hundreds of events. The festival aims to develop mutual understanding between the two continents through exhibitions, concerts, and screenings which take place in Europe, mainly in Brussels.

On Monday, 5th November the China Arts Festival in the European Union closed the 4th Edition of the event with an Official Gala Evening at KVS, Brussels. The evening was accompanied by marvelous performances of folk songs and dances. Bright costumes and colourful textiles on stage presented the Asian culture with the artistic spirit of Chinese students who introduced the audience with outstanding dances. Delegation speeches were delivered on the ending of the 4th edition expressing gratitude to the successful cooperation.

 

 

“Cultural exchange is a crucial part of connectivity between the two countries,” said Zhang Ming, the Chinese ambassador to the EU. He also said he is happy to observe the enduring efforts which are building better and sounder platform for exchanges and people to people dialogue.

 

 

The evening was organised with the support of the Chinese Mission to the European Union and the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Europe-China One Belt One Road Culture & Tourism Development Committee and the Committee of the China Arts Festival in the EU. The organisers mentioned that preparations for the next year’s festival are on the way!
