Fake police chief unmasked by real agents

The night between Friday and Saturday, a young man went around in Leuven introducing himself as a police officer. At around 2:00 am, a (real) police patrol caught the 18-year-old pretending to be the “police chief”. With three other people, the fake police chief stopped a man who had just urinated on the street. “I am a police chief, show me your identity card. You know that riding on public roads leads to a fine,” he said to the man.

On Sunday, local police reported that he was accused of usurpation of duty. However, the police have also fined the man who had urinated in public.
