Leopold’s Park is being redeveloped

The southeast side of the Leopold Park is being redeveloped to open up a part of the park currently closed to the public. The end of the works is planned for the spring of 2020. The park will remain open during the construction.

These works have 3 goals:

  • to open up a currently inaccessible part of the park
  • to rearrange the site of the Eggevoort Tower, in order to upgrade this historic tower
  • to make a new entrance at the Avenue du Maelbeek, next to a new apartment building of the City of Brussels

In 2016, Beliris already redeveloped the north side of the Leopold Park, following the opening of the House of European History.
