Redouane Arouch, Islam Party co-founder, will contest dismissal in labour court

Co-founder of the Islam party, Redouane Arouch, will challenge his dismissal to the Labour court. Redouane Arouch was a bus driver at the STIB until the Brussels company recently fired him for words he said in the public sphere which the company judged in contradiction with their values.

The man had spoken in the media about the programme of his political party, arguing in particular for the establishment of a separation between men and women in public transport, which had been controversial.

Redouane Arouch first attempted to challenge his dismissal via an internal procedure but now tries through the courts.
